Evolve– 23 is envisaged as an International Conference and Expo, charted by the Transport Department, in line with the E- mobility road map chalked out by the State. The three day conference is foreseen as a platform for policy makers across the country, together with pioneers in Industry and Academic stalwarts, to converge, explore and facilitate the paradigm shift from a fossil fuel centric transport sector to clean, efficient and futuristic alternatives.

The E mobility vision of the State targets an Electric Vehicle (EV) penetration of one million by 2025, as a short-term objective. The establishment of a Hydrogen based Transport Ecosystem and exploration of other greener fuels also constitutes the E- mobility design. The nation as well as the state has set ambitious targets in reducing the emissions and thereby establishing a Sustainable Development strategy by 2030. The state has also put in place a road map for achieving Carbon– neutrality by the year 2050. As road transport is accountable for over 90 % of the carbon emissions from the transport sector, switching over to clean energy fuelled mobility is pivotal to achieving the solemn targets.

Evolve-23 is a modest but decisive step to catapult the E – mobility initiatives to a broader horizon. The event shall be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala in the presence of Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister of Power and participation of other Central and State Ministers. The conference is augmented with eminent technocrats and academicians from across the globe. Also, the expo is anticipated as a display of State of the Art technology in the field.

The conference is scheduled on 19^th , 20^th and 21st January 2023 at Hotel Hyatt Regency and Expo will be held from 20-22 January 2023 at Police Ground, Thycaud.The inaugural function is planned on 19^th January at 6 PM and the valedictory function on 21st at 4.00 PM, venue being Hotel Hyatt Regency, Thycaud.

CONFERENCE RESOLUTION

The International Conference on E-Mobility and Expo “Evolve 2023” aims to address the following:

• Showcase state-of-the-art technologies in e-mobility/H2-mobility/Alternate Fuels/Allied sectors and the challenges in their realization.
• Propose policy actions that will enable the realization of the shift to electric/H2 mobility and the use of alternative fuels in the transport sector.
• Focuses on multi-stakeholder engagement and the sharing of best practices in electric/ H2 mobility/alternative fuels with low carbon footprint in private and public transport in Kerala.
• Involve the bureaucrats and energy stakeholders from Government, public and private sectors to discuss the strategy, action plan and milestones for the transition to e-mobility/H2-mobility.
• Recommend government and regulatory bodies to develop policies, protocols, technical/ safety standards and promotional schemes for generation, storage and dispensing facilities for hydrogen for their mass adoption in public/private transport.
• Attract vehicle manufacturers in the e-mobility/ H2-mobility/ Alternate Fuels sector and showcase their products to the public, students and business aspirants of the state.
• To create necessary awareness among the general public to adapt to the technological progress in this sector.

• Create avenues for novel technology start-ups and facilitate job opportunities through the generation of trained manpower in this specialized sector.
